When Saving the Planet Becomes a Crime and The Real Criminals Walk Free
What the hell are we actually doing?
While the polar ice caps are melting faster than ever, five young people in Germany are being prosecuted for… gluing themselves to the road.
Yes. You read that right.
The group is called “Letzte Generation” (Last Generation), and according to the Munich Public Prosecutor’s Office, its crime is the formation of a “criminal organization.”
What did they do?
They blocked streets, protested at airports, and disrupted the comfortable flow of daily life with nothing but banners, glue, and fierce moral conviction.
Meanwhile…
🧑⚖️ Donald Trump still walks free, despite a growing list of legal cases, including attempts to subvert democracy itself.
💼 Multinational corporations siphon off billions in profits through Ireland to avoid paying taxes — money that could fund climate adaptation, education, or healthcare.
🇷🇺 Putin commits war crimes, silences opposition, and reshapes global power through fear — and gets away with it.
🏛️ Right-wing extremists sit in parliaments across Europe, planning the rollback of human rights, while being treated like just another political voice.
But sure — let’s go after the kids with the glue.
There is something profoundly broken in a world that criminalizes moral courage but quietly tolerates greed, violence, and systemic destruction.
These young activists didn’t break the system.
They refused to pretend it was working.
And that’s the real threat.
Because moral clarity is disruptive.
Because reminding us of our responsibilities makes us uncomfortable.
Because no one likes being confronted with the fact that they’re benefiting from silence.
They disrupt the comfort of a society built on delay and denial, making them a danger.
Not because they’re criminals.
But because they are a mirror.
So let me ask this:
What kind of legal system prosecutes courage and rewards corruption?
What does it say about us – that saving the planet is radical, but destroying it is routine?
We’re not just in a climate crisis.
We’re in a moral crisis.
And if that doesn’t wake us up, what will?
